Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said that this "wise” decision reflects the "enduring” keenness of the coalition, under the leadership of Saudi Arabia, to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis that restores Yemen’s security and stability and avoids further human and economic suffering, according to the statement.
Safadi also highlighted the importance of Saudi Arabia’s efforts towards meeting Yemenis’ needs, as Saudi Arabia has announced that it will contribute $500 million to the United Nations humanitarian response plan for Yemen in 2020, in addition to $25 million to battle the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Safadi
also reiterated Jordan’s keenness to make "every possible effort” to
reach a political solution to the crisis in Yemen, in accordance with
approved references, the statement said.
