We want to know our land of Karabakh by our steps, not by maps. The Armenian army must withdraw from our territory.
On September 27 Armenia started to shoot Azerbaijani border regions. The (27.09.2020) victims of Armenian militants-14 years schoolgirl and 13 years schoolboy in Naftalan City of Azerbaijan. As a result of these attacks, a lot of civilians were killed and a lot of civilians were injured. Among the dead there are children. These provocations committed by Armenia contradict the Geneva Convention and UN resolutions on human rights. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in his last speech at the UN that Armenia is preparing for a major war against Azerbaijan. Mr. Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of preventing these provocations by Armenia. Armenia has been occupying the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and 7 surrounding regions for more than 27 years. Despite the steps taken by the Azerbaijani side in the framework of peace talks and the settlement of the conflict within the framework of international norms, Armenia does not give up its aggressive position. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Karabakh is Armenia and that is the point. With this statement, he put an end to many years of negotiations and the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group to resolve the problem.
I am Leyla Shah. Im a young journalist and young writer and a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union and the Union of Journalists. I am the author of the book "AZERBAIJAN THROUGH THE EYES OF FOREIGN AMBASSADORS”. I was born in Baku and live in Baku. My parents also were not from Karabakh, they were born in Baku. But I grew up in the same neighborhood with the children of Azerbaijani refugees whose expelled from Karabakh. I have witnessed firsthand the longing for their children homeland and the tears they shed for their homeland Karabakh. They were victims of Armenian savagery. Some of these children whose from Karabakh did not have a father. Sometimes I asked them "Where is your father?" They said me he was a martyr. At that time, I did not understand the mean word of martyr. But now I understand what is the mean of martyr. . A martyr is a person who dies while defending his homeland. Now for me the word martyr has the same meaning as the word homeland. As a child, we had a history and map of the occupation of the Karabakh region behind our books and diaries at school. When I touched that in the map to Karabakh, I felt that it was my homeland. We are now in the 28th year of the Armenian occupation 20 percent of our land. Newborn Azerbaijani children know Karabakh from maps like me. Today, Azerbaijani soldiers are fighting with the occupying Armenian soldiers to liberate Karabakh. They are fighting for Azerbaijani children to recognize the lands of Nagorno-Karabakh not on maps, with on steps . Today, I and all the people of Azerbaijan are from Karabakh. Karabakh is an integral part of our homeland.Karabakh is Azerbaijan!
