Nayrouz News Agency : His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday left the homeland for a one-day visit to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, during which he will hold talks with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.
Tomorrow, Saturday, His Majesty will participate, via video communication, in the event of handing over the Lamp of Peace Prize for the year 2021 to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
His Majesty was scheduled to visit the Italian city of Assisi, to participate in the award ceremony, but the precautionary measures taken by the organizers, after Guterres had contact with people who tested positive for coronavirus, prevented this.
HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Deputy to His Majesty the King, in the presence of the ministry's body.
