A delegation from the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority, headed by the Chairman of the Commission's Board of Commissioners, Captain Haitham Mesto, is participating in the sixth meeting of heads and directors of civil aviation in the Middle East.
The meeting, hosted by the UAE represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation in cooperation with the ICAO Regional Office for the Middle East, in Abu Dhabi, with the participation and presence of heads and general managers of civil aviation authorities in the countries of the Middle East, and regional and international civil aviation organizations, will discuss a number of issues related to the development of the aviation sector. Civil society in the Middle East in line with the changes taking place at the regional level.
The authority said in a press statement today, Wednesday, that the agenda of the meeting, which began on Tuesday and continues tomorrow, includes ICAO's activities related to innovation, a review of virtual reality technologies in air accident investigations, in addition to the establishment of a think tank for future aviation in the Middle East.
The meeting will also discuss items arising from previous meetings, the most prominent lessons learned from the Corona pandemic, and the main results of the forty-first General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in addition to reviewing the latest global developments in the fields of aviation safety and security, air navigation, environmental protection, economic development of air transport and planning. The strategy and implementation support, and the mechanism of employing training programs in the process of improving and developing these areas.
