Raed Abu Al-Soud, Minister of Water and Irrigation, received Philip Hall at his office at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Wednesday. The meeting addressed water challenges and highlighted the efforts exerted by the water sector to confront these challenges and secure water supplies through the implementation of sustainable water projects, such as the National Carrier Project.
The Minister of Water and Irrigation expressed the Jordanian government’s gratitude and appreciation for the substantial support provided by donor and friendly countries, particularly the United Kingdom and the British people, in addressing the water challenges facing the Kingdom, especially in the water sector.
For his part, Ambassador Philip Hall expressed the United Kingdom’s interest in expanding avenues of cooperation and providing solutions in the field of modern water management. He also affirmed the readiness of British companies and the private sector to contribute to the completion and implementation of water projects. He stressed the United Kingdom’s support for the water sector’s plans to implement sustainable water projects, foremost among them the National Carrier Project, and praised the efforts and achievements of the water sector in dealing with the current water situation.
