Nayrouz News Agency : China has announced on Tuesday that scientists have launched the second phase of trials to produce a vaccine for the novel COVID-19.
Chinese media outlets reported that the trials began last Sunday in Wuhan, the epicenter of the pandemic, with the participation of 500 people, including an 84-year-old man.
The second phase of the clinical trial focuses on the effectiveness of the vaccine.
The vaccine, which is genetically engineered, was developed by the Institute of Biotechnology at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences.
