Lavrov: Israel’s aggressive approach is the reason for the ongoing escalation in the Middle East
Nayrouz News Agency :

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the ongoing escalation of the Middle East crisis is due to the policies of aggression and militarization pursued by Israel with the support of the United States.

"The situation in the Middle East continues to deteriorate as a direct result of Israel’s aggressive policies, militarization, and Washington’s efforts to monopolize mediation process and sacrifice UN Security Council resolutions. Lavrov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily.

In his words, Israel’s desire to ensure its security at the expense of the security of others, while benefiting from the unwavering support it gets from the United States, leads nowhere and will affect the relations for many years to come.

The next step in overcoming the acute phase of the crisis must lie in preparing the conditions for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state ,Lavrov said . To achieve this goal, we must first and foremost rely on the positions of the countries of the region and not on the positions of those who are trying to impose their terms and conditions from overseas.”He added .
