Nayrouz News Agency : More than one thousand new deaths due to coronavirus or COVID-19 were reported across the United States in the last 24 hours, said Johns Hopkins University on Friday. With the addition of new deaths, the virus-related death toll in the country currently stands at 108,120.

According to the Baltimore-based university, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US currently stands at 1.87 million. Out of the total cases, over 485,000 COVID-19 patients have been successfully treated for the deadly disease.

Meanwhile, researchers have predicted the coronavirus to cause about 127,000 deaths in the United States by June 27.
