Govt ready to increase number of epidemiological teams — PM
Nayrouz News Agency :

The government is ready to increase the number of epidemiological investigation teams and provide them with all the necessary needs to carry out their duties in exploring clusters and breaking the chain of infection, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz said on Saturday.

During a visit to the Health Ministry and meeting with Health Minister Saad Jaber and the director of the Royal Medical Services, Razzaz expressed the government's appreciation to epidemiological investigation teams in conducting COVID-19 tests and identifying virus contacts "swiftly and effectively", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

While in the ministry, the premier contacted Karak Health Director Ayman Tarawneh, through videoconference, who said that the epidemiological situation in the southern governorate has started to stabilise.

Razzaz also met with doctors from the teams, who told the PM that one team conducts almost 100 to 200 tests on a daily basis for contacts of COVID-19 patients.
