Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday extended his condolences to the Iraqi people and government over the death and injury of dozens of people at Al Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah in the Iraqi Dhi Qar Governorate.

In a phone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Safadi affirmed the Kingdom's readiness to provide all assistance and support under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah. Safadi expressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the people of Iraq in the face of this painful incident, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
