 Prime Minister Stefan Yaniv's participation in the Global Leaders' Meeting of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change began.
  United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres greet Bulgarian Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the Glasgow Convention Center.


 Before the start of the meeting, Prime Minister Stefan Yaniv spoke with some leaders on the current topics of the conference.  The Bulgarian Prime Minister exchanged views with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.  Prime Minister Yaniv also held short talks with Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg, Latvian President Eagles Levits, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, North Macedonian President Stevo Bendarovsky and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej  Blaine*.


 With the participation of Prime Minister Yaniv in the World Forum, Bulgaria gives a clear signal that in the conditions of the global crisis caused by the pandemic and constantly rising energy prices, our country is strictly implementing the Paris Agreement, moreover, as a member state of the European Union, Bulgaria is working towards achieving the goals  The ambitious European collective to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve climate neutrality.

 Within the framework of the Global Leaders Meeting, Prime Minister Yaniv will highlight the efforts made by Bulgaria to achieve a smooth, fair and compliant transition to our green economy, in the context of global health and economic crisis.
  Prime Minister Stefan Yaniv will also focus on the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan, a new roadmap for the decarbonization of Bulgarian industries, for the development and growth of the economy and for a sustainable and conserved environment.
