Today, Saturday, the Arab Cultural Renaissance Forum organized a dialogue session on the role of the media in supporting artists and intellectuals, in the presence of a group of artists, writers and media professionals.
The head of the Arab Renaissance Cultural Forum at the Arab Renaissance Organization for Democracy and Development (ARDD), Basil Al-Tarawneh, referred to the role of the media in supporting all national sectors, including the artistic sector, which today needs to combine all national efforts to restore the pioneering role.
And he indicated that the session, which aims to stand on the main concerns and challenges facing the Jordanian artist and to propose recommendations that would enable him to perform his message to the fullest, believes in the great role that the media sector can play in the development of the artistic movement and its support and support for its workers.
The artist Ashraf Abaza said that talking about the field of art and culture was touched by various parties, and there were many discussions about the artist’s status and what he should be, but this did not change the difficult conditions he lives in, pointing out that Jordanian art needs real support and conviction in the importance of his role. .
Artist Anwar Khalil called for diversity in artistic production and finding a comprehensive strategy to support the artist, intellectual and athlete, pointing to the importance of the media's role in promoting the national artistic product internally and externally.
The artist, Samira Khoury, expressed her optimism for the future, despite the challenges the artist faces, stressing that art is the face of any country and has a major role in promoting tourism.
The session participants recommended that the idea of producing radio series should be presented to private radio stations, and that major institutions and companies support artists and produce artworks as a matter of social responsibility, and work together between the Syndicate of Artists, Writers and Intellectuals to establish a body that supervises a fund that supports artists.
They also recommended the need for writers to support the Jordanian artistic product in order to contribute to its marketing abroad, because this would benefit the artistic sector in all its corners, in addition to producing artworks that approach the pulse of the street and express its concerns.
It is noteworthy that the session began with a minute of silence for the souls of the Palestinian martyrs and the spirit of the late artist Daoud Jalal, who had a remarkable role in the Jordanian and Arab artistic movement.
