Jordan is experiencing moderate weather conditions across most regions on Monday, with relatively warm temperatures in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds are expected to appear at medium and high altitudes, particularly in the southern and eastern parts of the country. There is a slight possibility of scattered light rain showers in the far eastern and southeastern areas, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms in the eastern region. Winds will be moderate, with an eastward direction, occasionally picking up speed and causing dust to stir, especially in desert.
As the week progresses, the forecast indicated that the weather on Tuesday will continue to be mild in much of the Kingdom. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, however, will see relatively warmer conditions.
Clouds will continue to grace the sky at various altitudes, and in the afternoon hours, scattered showers may occur in limited parts of the eastern and southeastern regions. Thunderstorms may occasionally accompany these showers, primarily in the eastern areas.
The winds will shift to a north-easterly to north-westerly direction, maintaining moderate speeds that can occasionally contribute to dust storms, particularly in desert regions.
Looking ahead to Wednesday and Thursday, moderate weather conditions will continue throughout most of Jordan, with clouds at medium and high altitudes, while the winds will be southeasterly with moderate speeds.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 15 or even 14C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have sweltering weather, with highs of 35C and lows of 22C.
