China urges Israel to stop targeting humanitarian personnel#44; fulfil obligations in Gaza
Nayrouz News Agency :

China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geng Shuang, has affirmed that his country renewed the call for Israel to fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law by putting lives and humanity first.

"Despite the four resolutions adopted by UN Security Council, orders of International Court of Justice, and great efforts exerted by UN and other humanitarian agencies, yet the humanitarian situation has been constantly worsening, and violations of international law, in particular, international humanitarian law, have persisted non-stop.”, Xinhua quoted Geng as saying in a briefing to UN Security Council on the situation in Middle East.

"China strongly condemns the ongoing aggression committed by the Israeli forces on humanitarian agencies and the personnel affiliated with them which are unacceptable at all”, Geng went on saying.

He stressed that UNRWA is mandated by UN General Assembly to provide relief to Palestinian refugees and even during the perilous times, the agency has not abandoned people in Gaza till now, as 224 of its staff were martyred in the line of duty.
