The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) revealed that the Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out wide-scale arrest campaigns, northern Gaza strip since the beginning of the ongoing siege 19 days ago, as part of the war of extermination that has been ongoing for more than a year.
A statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and quoted by WAFA said that hundreds of prisoners from Gaza are still being forcibly disappeared in the occupation’s prisons, facing crimes of torture, abuse and humiliation around the clock, while some of them were martyred, and the occupation did not announce their identities or information, in addition to the prisoners who were executed in the field.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society stated that the all demands made by human rights institutions and the cries of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the genocide taking place in front of the world were not enough for the international human rights system to stop the war, as the occupation continues its crimes and violations of all international laws and resolutions amidst the silence of the international community.
Since the start of the war of extermination on October 7, 2023, the occupation has arrested thousands from different parts of the Strip, including dozens of women, children, and medical staff.
The occupation continues to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against hundreds of detainees and refuses to disclose their identities and places of their detention, furthermore it also refuses to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit them to this day.
