A workshop for tourism agents discusses Aqabas special plan to promote the Golden Triangle
Nayrouz News Agency : Amin Al-Maaytah - A workshop organized by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, for tourism and travel agents, discussed today, Sunday in Amman, the Tourism Authority’s work plan for the next two years 2022-2023 and the mechanism for promoting the city of Aqaba and the Golden Triangle locally and globally.
 Representatives of the Tourism Board, Turkish Airlines, and Royal Jordanian Airlines participated in the workshop, which was held in cooperation with the Jordan Inbound Tourism Association. During the workshop, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Commissioner of Tourism in the Authority, Sharhabeel Madi, presented the agenda of the tourism plan and the promotional and marketing activities that the Authority intends to implement to attract and revitalize foreign tourism, stressing that the Authority is currently preparing to move to advanced stages of work in attracting incoming tourism and promoting the diverse national tourism product. .
 He pointed out that the plan includes the establishment of activities that attract tourism in the regions of Aqaba, Wadi Rum and Petra, stressing the importance of partnership with the tourism private sector and the role of tourism and travel offices in promoting the Golden Triangle and placing it on the global tourism map, and the need to unify efforts and initiatives in order to achieve common goals.
 Madi indicated that the authority seeks to attract about three million tourists by the end of 2023, in conjunction with the gradual return of tourism in the Kingdom.
 The Director General of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, praised the cooperation and partnership between the authority and the authority in implementing and promoting the Golden Triangle marketing strategy, noting that Aqaba is one of the desirable areas for tourists from abroad.
