Nayrouz News Agency : Low-cost airline Wizzair launched today the first tourist flight to the Kingdom, which landed at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba and coming from Bucharest. The plane was received by representatives from the Tourism Promotion Authority, the Aqaba Economic Zone Authority and King Hussein International Airport.  The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Nayef Al-Fayez, said the inauguration of the first lines of the low-cost airline Wizzair comes to the Kingdom, announcing an increase in the volume of tourism movement in the Kingdom.  Al-Fayez expected that the number of tourist trips through the lines of the Wizzair company would increase by 32 flights per week.  Director General of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said that this step came in partnership with the Aqaba Economic Zone Authority and as a result of continuous efforts over the past few years;  It is expected that these regular flights of the Hungarian company "wizzair" to the Kingdom will reflect positively on the movement of the tourism sector and increase the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom, noting that the company will carry tourists of various European nationalities to the Kingdom.  Through 8 new airlines according to the agreement concluded in the capital Amman, and Arabiyat said that the lines that will be launched through the company include 4 lines to Amman (Queen Alia International Airport) throughout the year, including lines to Amman - Budapest, Hungary, Rome, Italy, Milan, Italy  He also added that 4 lines will be launched to Aqaba (King Hussein International Airport) - winter season only - Hungarian Budapest, Romanian Bucharest, Austrian Vienna, Italian Rome.Arabiyat gave a detailed explanation of the importance of inaugurating these lines, in addition to the agreement  It will include launching marketing campaigns through all marketing channels of the Hungarian "wizzair" company, noting that the expected number of tourists for the first year of operation is 167,000 tourists to the Kingdom.  Vice President of the Aqaba Economic Zone Authority, Commissioner of Tourism, Sharhabeel Madi, said that the operation of these lines was the result of cooperation between the authority, the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Promotion Authority, by providing many incentives to this company, in order to attract it to put Aqaba and its airport on the map of its flights from different countries of the world to enable them to  A visit to the Golden Tourist Triangle of Aqaba, Rum and Petra, as well as a visit to various tourist areas in the Kingdom. He indicated that the company will operate two lines from Romania and Hungary in the first phase, with two flights per week (Aqaba Budapest round trip and Aqaba Bucharest round trip).  Madi added that attracting these lines comes within the strategic plans of the Authority and the Tourism Authority for the years 2022-2023 to open new tourist markets in Eastern Europe, which will be reflected on the tourism and economic movement in the Golden Tourist Triangle, noting that the authority hosts during this trip a delegation of tourism offices and Romanian media in cooperation  With one of the specialized Jordanian offices to see and learn about the most important tourism and heritage products in the Golden Triangle and to promote them through their platforms in Romania.
