The wife of the Bulgarian ambassador in Amman, Nora Makhilova, in cooperation with the Madaba Tourism Directorate, organized a tour for a number of wives of ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom, to Madaba Governorate to see the tourist and historical monuments, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Tourism Promotion Authority.
Makhilova said that the organization of this visit came to symbolize Madaba's historical and tourism, and with the aim of introducing and promoting it through the ambassadors' wives and conveying a positive image of Madaba, stressing that Madaba is a tourist city distinguished by its mosaics, beautiful sites and the nature of its local residents who welcome tourists.
She added that she visited Madaba more than once and on board the bicycles and got acquainted with its regions and its tourism location and wanted to transfer the experience through the ambassadors' wives in Amman.
For his part, the Director of Madaba Tourism, Wael Al-Janaini, stated that this visit comes within the framework of promoting Madaba and within the activities of Madaba, the capital of Arab tourism for 2022, where the ambassadors' wives visited various tourist sites such as the Visitor Center, the Archaeological Park, the Mosaic Institute, Mount Nebo and the Church of the Apostles.
The ambassadors' wives expressed their admiration for the historical and tourist attractions, especially its mosaic character and the spaces in the city that make it the undisputed city of mosaics.
