New epidemiological teams begin random testing in Amman
Nayrouz News Agency : Epidemiological investigation teams are "working at full capacity” conducting random COVID-19 tests in Amman, Health Minister Saad Jaber said on Sunday.

The minister also announced that 32 epidemiological investigation teams will conduct random tests in Amman, increasing the number of the Kingdom’s working teams, which currently exceed 160.

Speaking during a meeting with the epidemiological investigation teams at the ministry headquarters, Jaber lauded the role of health care providers in the field, notably the epidemiological teams, which carry out sample collection and epidemiological surveillance, in addition to taking collected samples to the central laboratories.

The minister said that the teams are working within an organised mechanism adhering to the "highest standards of public and safety”.

The Ministry of Health has enhanced the capabilities of inspection teams specialised in epidemiological surveillance and testing, he said, highlighting that they are equipped with medical and preventive tools, and "take the highest public safety measures to carry out their work efficiently and accurately”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
