During the meeting, attended by the army chief, heads of security apparatuses and relevant officials, Razzaz highlighted the importance of continuing to present "a distinguished Jordanian model” in confronting the pandemic, stressing the need for Jordanians’ cooperation and commitment.
Meeting participants also reviewed some of the plans by specialised teams from various sectors, given that most economic sectors are now allowed to resume work, and in light of the approach of Eid Al Fitr, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The prime minister also called for increasing efforts to prepare the quarantine centre for truck drivers entering the Kingdom through the Omari border crossing and completing the infrastructure necessary to organise the exchange of goods between trucks under the back-to-back system.
Discussions in the meeting also went over the mechanism for public sector employees to resume work after the Eid Al Fitr holiday according to clear public health and safety measures in a way that guarantees offering services to citizens, whether on-site or remotely
